Fact Of The Day – Did you know that there is a code of conduct that your real estate agent should follow?
The National Association of REALTORS® publishes a list of obligations and a code of conduct that governs how real estate agents are to operate. The code of conduct lists a set of duties, including duties to clients and customers. For example, agents and brokers are to avoid exaggeration, misrepresentation, or concealment of pertinent facts relating to the property or the transaction, they shall cooperate with other brokers except when cooperation is not in the client’s best interest and they shall not accept any commission, rebate, or profit on expenditures made for their client, without the client’s knowledge and consent. Read the entire code at realtor.com to see if your real estate agent measures up.
